If you’ve been injured in a motor vehicle accident (MVA), the last thing you need is more paperwork. Under ICBC’s current guidelines, Massage Therapy is a pre-authorized treatment (no referral needed).

How the ICBC Process Works at This Clinic:
- Pre-Approved Sessions: You are automatically approved for 12 sessions within the first 12 weeks of your accident date.
- Simple Booking: Select "First ICBC" (60 mins) for your assessment, then "ICBC Subsequent" (45 mins) for your follow-up care.
- What to Bring: All I need is your Claim Number, Date of Accident, and your Personal Health Number (PHN).
ICBC Enhanced Care:
- click on Enhance Benefits Guide button, see section 1, pages 3- 4 for medical expenses.
- ICBC now categorizes massage therapy as non-discretionary therapy as per physiotherapy and kinesiology
- This means that treatment is automatically approved

- Patient-Pay: You pay for your treatment at the time of service (Cash, Cheque, or e-Transfer).
- Fee's: match ICBC recommended rates, and include the GST. $128.00 and $105.00 for 60-min initial and 45-min subsequent, until new rates come in effect April 1, 2026 at $131.00 and $107.00, respectively.
- Easy Reimbursement: We provide you with a professional receipt containing all necessary coding for you to submit to ICBC for direct reimbursement.
- Future Updates: We are currently formalizing a Vendor Account to offer Direct Billing in the near future. Stay tuned for updates!
ICBC Patient Obligations: Important ICBC Attendance Policy-
- The 48-Hour Rule: ICBC does not pay for missed appointments.
- Responsibility: If you miss a session or cancel with less than 48 hours' notice, the "No-Show" fee is the patient's personal responsibility. This must be settled to keep your claim and booking account in good standing - in order to continue treatment(s).

Beyond the First 12 Weeks?
If your recovery requires more than 12 sessions or extends past the 3-month mark, don't worry. I will work with you to submit a Physical Treatment Plan (Form CL751) to your adjuster to request additional funded care. It is strongly suggest may need a doctor's prescription too.
This means your adjuster approval is required for an extension of treatment.

- Your clinical record is protected by BC PIPA. And a special consent release form is required to release your information.
- Please note many private Insurance benefits typically do not cover injuries/accidents due to MVA and or work.
